Vomitory originated in 1989 and immediately decimated the Swedish metal scene. Between 1996 and 2011, they dropped eight massive albums and destroyed countless stages around the world. A brief retirement in 2013 ended when they reunited in 2019 for their thirtieth anniversary. Following their 2023 comeback "All Heads Are Gonna Roll", the machine runs at full capacity again. Now we get "In Death Throes", unleashed through Metal Blade Records.

"In Death Throes" introduces Christian Fredriksson on guitars. He engineered the guitar and bass tracking at Goff Studios in Karlstad. Drums and vocals were tracked at Leon Music Studios with Rikard Löfgren, the same engineer behind "Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize", "Carnage Euphoria", and "Opus Mortis VIII". Lawrence Mackrory took charge of the final mix and master at Rorysound Studios in Uppsala. The resulting audio production presents a crushing auditory assault. Giannis Nakos provided the brutal visual layout.

This album simply rips heads off shoulders. Vomitory delivers vicious blast beats, aggressive riffing, and deep guttural roars. They strip away unnecessary garbage and stick exclusively to maximum velocity destruction. The guitars chainsaw through the air with relentless aggression. The drumming sounds like an artillery bombardment raining down on a blood-soaked battlefield. Everything locks together flawlessly, creating a towering wall of death metal supremacy.

Tracks like "For Gore And Country" display extreme speed and absolute ferocity. You get total D-beat destruction, bone-crushing grooves, and massive tremolo picking. The low-end frequencies rattle your skull, shaking everything alongside the ripping guitar solos. Vomitory relies on sheer horsepower. They deliver intense speed and unrelenting brutality. There is a lethal, violent aggression present in the playing. It absolutely shreds.

"In Death Throes" rules. The integration of Christian Fredriksson brings fresh fire to the songwriting. Vomitory operates at maximum devastation here. The riffs smash skulls, and the vocals sound entirely demonic. Fans of pure Swedish death metal will absolutely worship this release. It stands tall as an elite death metal assault does for 2026.
