For nearly two decades, the French squad Angellore has been crafting heavy, sorrowful music. Hailing from Avignon, this crew has built a reputation for mixing gothic doom elements with folk arrangements and dramatic storytelling. Their journey includes notable past creations like "La Litanie Des Cendres" in 2015 and "Rien Ne Devait Mourir" in 2020. Ten years in the making, their latest musical offering emerges from the shadows to present a deeply emotional chapter in their sonic history.

Angellore delivers a deeply atmospheric journey that captures the essence of classic gothic doom. The experience begins with "Falling Birds," which introduces a sorrowful dance of heavy chords intertwined with clean, pure vocals and weeping guitar melodies. The addition of oboe and bass clarinet enriches the tapestry, pulling you deeper into their world. This dark voyage flows into "Black Sun River," a track steeped in ancient passion and a haunting rhythm. With "Forsaken Fairytale," the vocal diversity takes center stage, shifting between harsh expressions and clean passages, complemented by elegant flute and piano. The grandeur expands further in "Martyrium," where cathedral choirs evoke cold, wind-swept nights under the moon. Finally, "A Dormant Stream" wraps up the procession, utilizing delicate acoustic textures, flute, and massive chords to bring the journey to a solemn close. The production, handled by Déhà and Markus Skroch across multiple European studios, ensures everything sounds deep and balanced.
