Naked Soldier came out of the Swiss underground scene like a storm, with a lineup featuring Patrik Caminada on vocals, Oliver Corrodi on guitars, Noé Burger on bass, and Janick Sidler on drums. Hailing from Zurich, Zug, and Aargau, they dropped a demo called "Mirrorspeak" back in 2021 and followed it up with their self-titled full-length "Naked Soldier" in 2022. That debut got them a reputation for killer live shows, sharing stages with heavy hitters like Sasquatch, Valley Of The Sun, and Duel. Now they are back to drop their new EP, "Echoes."

This new EP is a heavy trip that hits with a serious dose of fuzz and raw power. Naked Soldier takes their rock foundation and pushes it into heavier territories, putting together a sound that mixes big, riff-driven energy with the hypnotic vibes of desert rock. It has a great balance,

combining atmospheric depth with a modern rock punch. The songwriting has plenty of detail to keep you locked in, while the groove remains accessible to anyone who loves heavy music.

The songwriting focuses on hooks and groove, and that choice helps the material stay engaging through the whole running time. “Reduce Me” and “Bit Crusher” bring a strong rock drive, while “Fortune Teller” adds a darker and more hypnotic character. “El Bizarre” stretches the sound further with longer structures and more exploratory pacing, giving the EP a broader personality without drifting too far away from its core identity.

Vocally, Patrik Caminada matches the rough and fuzzy atmosphere of the music with a performance that sounds relaxed and energetic at the same time. Oliver Corrodi’s guitar work gives the EP much of its identity, moving from warm stoner grooves into heavier moments with ease. The production also avoids sounding sterile, which helps the songs maintain a live and human character.

The energy here is high-octane all the way through, bringing a party-ready vibe that explains why these Swiss rockers do so well on stage. "Echoes" is a strong evolution for Naked Soldier, serving up a dynamic journey of heavy riffs that shows rock music can be smart and dangerously fun at the same time.
