My Own Will started tearing through the Michigan hardcore and deathcore underground with a sound built on brute force, groove and pure aggression. Sharing stages with names like Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation helped the band sharpen its attack in front of hostile crowds and sweaty pit floors. Their debut “Left To The Flies” pushed their name further through streaming playlists and live appearances, and now “Misery” arrives as a short burst of violent hardcore loaded with death metal pressure and pit-ready energy.

This new EP is a strong, heavy dose of metal-infused hardcore designed for the mosh pit. "Misery" brings four tracks of aggressive music that slam hard, blending the groove of hardcore with the aggression of death metal. The production by Cody Stewart and Max Kushner gives the music a sharp edge, and Christian Donaldson’s mastering keeps the sonic assault clear.

The title track "Misery" moves at high speed before dropping into heavy grooves, setting a brutal pace for the rest of the release. Tracks like "Rorschach", "Forsaken", and "Phobos" back it up with intense vocals and heavy, driving rhythms. It is a straight-to-the-point blast of aggressive hardcore that does exactly what it needs to do. At just over twelve minutes, “Misery” does not waste time padding itself with filler or unnecessary experimentation. The EP stays focused on violence, groove and pure hostility, and that approach suits My Own Will well.
