Temple Of Dread formed on the island of Spiekeroog in 2017, when guitarist Markus Bünnemeyer set out to create old school death metal rooted in the late eighties and early nineties. Vocalist Jens Finger and drummer Jörg Uken joined soon afterward, forming the core heard on "Blood Craving Mantras", "World Sacrifice" and "Hades Unleashed". Through Testimony Records, the band maintained an unusually fast release rhythm while broadening its writing on "Beyond Acheron" and "God Of The Godless". Darker harmony, slower turns and cinematic keyboard accents entered an attack previously centered on speed and riff density. The arrival of guitarist Daniel Maurer and bassist Andi Bauer expanded the trio into a five member lineup before this sixth album, providing a permanent rhythm section and twin guitar configuration for concerts and studio work. That change marks the largest personnel shift in the band’s short, highly productive history.

"Dreadspawn Dominion" is the sixth full length from Temple Of Dread, issued on CD, LP and digital formats. Its ten cuts run for about forty minutes. Recording, mixing, mastering and production took place at Soundlodge Tonstudio under drummer Jörg Uken. The mix has broad stereo reach, a bass line that stays present beneath the guitars, deep drum impact and vocals placed near the front. The second guitar widens the harmonies and lead exchanges, while keyboards appear as cold accents at selected turns. Frank Albers wrote the lyrics, returning to ancient mythology and extending the dispute between Charon, ferryman of the dead, and Hades, ruler of the underworld. The subject is treated as a feud over dominion, servitude and death, not as a pile of disconnected classical names. The painted cover continues the same visual language of divine violence and antique horror.

The music is disciplined death metal, built from thrash soaked riffing, doom descents and cinematic keys used at decisive moments. The album opens its claws quickly and sustains a grim martial current across its full span. The quintet formation adds low end impact and twin guitar depth, especially when melody rises above the churn. Uken’s mix is huge and defined, though the constant high volume attack flattens some contrasts through the central stretch.

Several transitions use expected death metal routes, then tempo shifts, eerie harmonies and keyboard color restore tension. Finger’s growl remains intelligible inside the attack, with limited variation becoming noticeable after several songs. The mythological focus has substance, with Charon and Hades framed as active antagonists, not decorative references. The result is a brutal, focused sixth album whose scale, pacing and production justify another spin.
