Origin Chile
I Proélefsi (Greek for The Origin) is a Chilean one person band created by musician and composer M Eidolon. The band appeared in 2025 with the self titled EP "I Proélefsi", joining atmospheric black metal, dark ambient textures and orchestral writing within a five part spiritual journey. Ancient knowledge, nature, cosmic connection and the search for existence beyond the physical world shaped that debut. M Eidolon handles guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, arrangements and programming, placing the entire musical direction under one mind.
The second release, "Ypógeio Vasíleio · Υπόγειο Βασίλειο (Underground Kingdom)", turns toward Greek mythology and the realm of the dead. Its course begins beside the River Styx, crosses the waters with Charon, enters Hades
under the gaze of Cerberus, faces judgment and ends inside Tartarus. I Proélefsi has a short history, although its chosen territory is already specific: black metal used as a vehicle for metaphysical exploration, ancient symbolism and death beyond religious consolation.
"Ypógeio Vasíleio" is constructed as a continuous descent across five compositions, using low ambient layers, tremolo guitar lines, towering chords, mournful keyboards, doleful bass and programmed drums that arrive with immense scale. The production places depth above immediate aggression, with the guitars high in the mix, the bass rolling underneath and the keyboards spreading a cold atmosphere across the edges. Lead guitar provides the melodic thread, tracing vivid lines over the darkness and preventing the album from sinking into shapeless gloom. The orchestral arrangements expand the surroundings through restrained touches, leaving the central melodies exposed amid the shadows.
Some faster drum bursts have a mechanical edge, and the recurring climb from ambient calm into full attack becomes foreseeable during the latter stretch. The pacing remains deliberate across the journey, moving through fear, majesty, judgment and desolation as the descent reaches its lowest point. Greek mythology governs the album’s structure and emotional temperature, so the concept never becomes decoration pasted over unrelated music. This is a disciplined and immersive release, rich in melody and blackened grandeur, with enough detail to reward return visits and a closing descent that leaves a lingering trace of dread.
