Wielded Steel comes straight out of Birmingham, Alabama, growing from a seriously dedicated local underground scene. These guys play an absolutely punishing mix of death metal and hardcore. Their 2026 album, "Sins Of Your Domain" on the 1126 label, is a complete beatdown. They ignore the current stadium trends, opting for a violent fusion of low-tuned destruction. This music is strictly meant to start fights in the pit.
The guitar riffs are completely weaponized. We get stripped-down metallic riffs morphing into intricate rhythms that simply crush the skull. On "In The Line Of Fire" and "Sins Of Your Domain", the guitars deliver syncopated violence alongside completely brutal drumming. The percussion provides a constant battery of double-bass and devastating snare hits. The whole assault is designed for maximum sonic violence.
Vocally, this album is a total monster. The lyrics tackle societal lies, war crimes, and self-destruction with absolute disgust. The guest spots from No Cure, Corpse Pile, Rejoice, and Brass Tongue add extra firepower to the already savage vocal performance. Every single vocalist goes absolutely feral on the microphone. The sheer anger behind the music translates perfectly into a furious listening experience.
The rhythm section lays down a massive foundation for the carnage. The bass lines, especially on "Perpetual Hell", lay down an enormous groove before the whole band drops into complete sonic devastation. "Die By The Steel" throws down some serious two-step sections for the hardcore kids. Everyone involved delivers maximum aggression.
As a complete package, "Sins Of Your Domain" brings serious aggression to the speakers. Some tracks occasionally bleed into similar sonic territories, keeping the final number at a very respectable level. The sheer violence of the riffs makes it totally worthwhile. Wielded Steel drops a massive hammer on the scene with this release.
