Truth Grip operate out of Frankfurt, dealing in heavy, aggressive hardcore and metal. The guitar work on "Twist Of Fate" delivers brutal, skull-cracking riffs. Andy shreds through the songs, providing thick power chords and thrash-heavy sequences. Patrick beats the hell out of his drum kit, keeping the rhythm extremely fast and intense. The percussion strikes like a sledgehammer, driving the tempo hard and fast.
Marc screams his lungs out, dealing with topics of inner struggle, personal conflict, and the pressure of everyday life. He sounds genuinely pissed off, giving the lyrics genuine venom and power. The band brings in friends for guest vocals on "Your Selfmade Hell", "Born Unequal", and "Inner Circle". These extra voices make the vocal attack absolutely brutal and add cool variety to the tracks.
Steven provides an absolutely crushing bass tone. The low end rumbles underneath the furious guitar work, giving the songs a seriously heavy foundation. Maximilian May handled the mix, making the entire thing sound huge and loud. The audio quality rips hard and lets the sheer power of the instruments destroy your speakers.
"Twist Of Fate" kicks major ass and guarantees massive headbanging, even if a couple of songs sound similar. Truth Grip delivers an awesome double EP full of angry, heavy music.
