Zakk Wylde stepped into the spotlight as the loyal six-string slinger for Ozzy Osbourne. Decades of multi-platinum sales, endless magazine covers, worldwide sold-out tours, and massive side hustles in the coffee and guitar business turned him into an absolute icon. Touring for the Pantera Celebration honoring the late Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul sparked the creative fire for a new Black Label Society campaign. Writing sessions over those four years birthed "Engines Of Demolition". This album follows 2021’s "Doom Crew Inc." and rains down a furious barrage of blues-soaked heavy metal.

"Engines Of Demolition" rips the doors completely off the hinges. Black Label Society rules the metal scene by dropping relentless guitar wizardry and earth-shaking grooves. Zakk’s vocals roar over a massive mountain of distortion. The drums thunder relentlessly alongside vicious basslines. Fans get a massive blast of loud, unhinged rock from the very first second. The music absolutely crushes everything in its path.

Vicious riffs dominate the skull-crushing anthems. Tracks including "The Gallows", "Name In Blood", and "Pedal To The Floor", and “Gatherer Of Souls” (a tribute to “Hole In The Sky”) deliver absolute sonic destruction. Zakk shreds the fretboard to absolute dust. Every solo screams with wild, bluesy overdrive. The rhythm section pounds like a runaway freight train. Black Label Society drops pure, devastating heavy metal thunder. You will bang your head until your neck snaps.

" Better Days & Wiser Times" and "Ozzy's Song" bring the sorrowful, soul-crushing balladry, especially the second one. Ozzy forever, we love you. Acoustic guitars and wailing electric leads weave a deeply mournful atmosphere. The singing channels deep sadness and pure sorrow. Every sung note resonates with immense emotional power. Black Label Society crafts these slower dirges with massive musical force. The solos weep endlessly through the darkest depths.

"Engines Of Demolition" rules the wasteland completely. Black Label Society remains an immortal titan in the metal universe. Zakk Wylde and his crew deliver an absolute monster of an album. Heavy metal maniacs will absolutely devour these new tunes. The riffs destroy everything.

Score: 8.5
