Hamburg’s own Godsnake are back to wreck necks with their third outing, and honestly, it’s about time someone reminded the scene that you can be catchy without being soft. Formed by a bunch of veterans who clearly spent too much time listening to both the Big Four and the melodic Swedish invasion, they’ve spent the last few years carving out a reputation for being the loud, obnoxious neighbors of the German metal scene. With Torger leading the charge on vocals and Stevo handling the riffs, they’ve managed to climb the ladder from local brawlers to a respected name under the Massacre Records banner.

"Inhale The Noise" is a high-octane assault that actually bothers to include some melody. The production is thick and loud, courtesy of LSD Studios, giving the drums enough room to kick you in the teeth while the guitars maintain a sharp edge. It’s got that professional sheen that makes the fast parts sound expensive, but it still retains enough dirt to satisfy anyone who misses the glory days of the genre. They brought in Jean Bormann from Rage to throw down some solos, and the dude absolutely shreds, adding a layer of technical flash that makes the standard riffing look even meaner.

The songwriting here shows a band that’s done playing around. Songs like "Scream For A Bullet" and "Rotten To The Core" are built for the mosh pit, featuring choruses that’ll get stuck in your head whether you want them there or not. They’ve dialed up the aggression since the last record, pushing the thrash elements further into the red. It’s got a mean streak a mile wide, especially during "Digital Dumbass," which is basically a sonic assault on modern stupidity. The Walt and Sidney keep the rhythm section locked down like a prison, providing a foundation that allows the guitars to go off the rails without the whole thing falling apart.

This album is a loud, arrogant middle finger to anyone who thinks thrash has gone stale. "Enemy Of Great" and "The Price We Have To Pay" show off a level of intensity that many younger bands can’t even touch. The mix of melodic hooks and pure aggression is handled well, ensuring the songs stick around long after the ringing in your ears fades. It’s an honest, loud, and angry collection of tracks that proves these Hamburgers have plenty of fire left in the tank.

Overall, Godsnake delivered exactly what was needed, a loud, heavy-as-hell album that doesn't apologize for existing. It’s got the riffs, the attitude, and just enough guest-star fire to keep things interesting. While it stays within the lanes of melodic thrash, it drives those lanes at a hundred miles an hour. If you want a record that sounds like a riot in a brewery, "Inhale The Noise" is going to be your soundtrack for the summer. It’s a fierce addition to their discography that’ll definitely cause some casualties in the front row.

Score: 7.8
