Yawning Balch started in 2023 as a desert jam project joining Gary Arce from Yawning Man with Bob Balch, later joined again by Mario Lalli on bass and Bill Stinson on drums. The project grew out of long Joshua Tree sessions, with "Volume One" and "Volume Two" coming first, "Volume Three" following in 2025, and "Volume Four" continuing the same wide psychedelic path through Heavy Psych Sounds.
