Baphomet’s Blood formed in San Benedetto Del Tronto in 2003, built around bassist and vocalist Necrovomiterror and guitarist R.R. Bastard. The band emerged from Italy’s underground speed metal circuit with the 2005 demo “Satanic Commando”, followed by the debut album “Satanic Metal Attack” in 2006 and “Second Strike” in 2008. “Metal Damnation” arrived in 2009 as the third full-length, placing the band deeper into a style shaped by fast heavy metal, raw production and openly satanic imagery. The 2026 lineup lists Necrovomiterror on bass and vocals, Bloodoildrinker, G.S. Philtyrant and Nightagressor on guitars, with S.R. Bestial Hammer on drums.
This reissue brings “Metal Damnation” back on vinyl and places it on CD for the first time, retaining all eight songs across approximately thirty-eight minutes. The production is raw and heavy, with the guitars packed into a rough metallic grind, the drums upfront and the bass present beneath the riffing.
Necrovomiterror’s vocals arrive as a hoarse shout, giving “Devil’s Night”, “We Don’t Care” and “Evilbringer” an aggressive street-metal character.
The writing runs on charging rhythms, traditional heavy metal leads and choruses designed for raised fists rather than delicate detail.
“Metal Damnation” and “Italian Steel” state the band’s obsession without dressing it up, mixing satanic language, metal worship and stubborn underground pride. The album is pure 80’s speed/thrash metal that loves a lot the German scene. The guitar leads have a wild, reckless edge, while the rhythm section maintains a blunt impact that gives the songs their physical character. “Metal Damnation” closes with Killer’s (Belgium) “Ready For Hell”, selecting a source that sits close to their own stripped, leather-clad metal attack. It is a respectful cover with enough dirt under the nails to belong beside the original material. This is Italian speed metal stripped to studs, sweat and distortion, made for listeners who want riffs first and refinement far behind.
