Enshrinement is an underground blackened death metal band from Ohio, United States, operating with very little public history attached to its name. Its first documented release was the debut demo EP "Brandish A Sword", initially made available through the official Bandcamp page before reaching streaming services and independent metal outlets. "Repulsive Nightmare" follows as the band’s second logged release, issued independently within its mid to late 2026 schedule. No lineup or bio appears.
Across these two demo releases, Enshrinement draws heavily from American groove-death metal scene, Obituary and Six Feet Under are the nearest reference points through lumbering tempos, basic drum patterns, and riffs assembled from compact chord cycles. At this early stage, Enshrinement presents raw, restricted songwriting tied closely to one specific branch of groove-death metal.
"Repulsive Nightmare" contains seven songs and lasts about eighteen minutes, a compact running time that prevents its limited rhythmic range from becoming unbearable. Most of the demo moves at a slow or medium pace, using blunt guitar figures, and square drum beats that rarely change their basic shape. The resemblance to the bands referred above is immediate, reaching a point where influence starts resembling imitation. Several sections could sit beside either band after only minor alteration.
The songwriting wastes little time, and the short duration stops the central formula from collapsing entirely, though seven songs built around similar motion expose how few ideas are stretched across the demo. "Repulsive Nightmare" is a competent second demo, easy to take in during one sitting and easy to forget afterward, offering enough primitive atmospheres for one or two spins before its close imitation and limited song separation become impossible to ignore.
