Gorge is an Italian death metal band formed in 2025 by Edoardo Nicoloso, known for his work with Fulci, Jorelia and TV,Crimes, alongside Roberto Sava of Jorelia. The project was built around a stripped down death metal approach, with both musicians handling guitars and vocals, while Nicoloso also takes

care  of drum programming. Their music draws from the brutal death metal tradition associated with Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Gorguts and Malevolent Creation, while adding a hardcore edge through groove focused riffing and frequent rhythmic changes.

Gorge keeps their songwriting centered on guitar work, using heavy rhythmic structures as the main component of their sound. "Deeds Of Horror" arrives as their debut full length, introducing a band focused on violent death metal with an apocalyptic lyrical atmosphere and a strong interest in the psychological territory surrounding death. "Deeds Of Horror" was recorded at MK2 Recording Studio in Ivrea by Davide Billia, who also handled the mix and mastering. Edoardo Nicoloso recorded rhythm guitar, bass, drums and vocals, while Roberto Sava handled lead guitar and additional vocals.

The production gives the album a heavy, defined character, allowing the guitars to dominate the musical picture while the vocals remain firmly embedded in the brutal death metal attack. The songwriting is built around fast rhythmic shifts, crushing grooves and tightly arranged guitar patterns, with enough variation to prevent the material from becoming one long blast of similar ideas. "Visions Before Dying" stands as a good example of the album’s approach, combining rapid drumming with cavernous guitar movements and lyrics inspired by altered states of consciousness, death, hallucination and the uncertain boundary between life and whatever comes after it.

Across the album, the lyrical themes remain focused on mortality, apocalyptic imagery, distorted perception and the darker corners of the human mind. Gorge has produced a debut that sits comfortably within brutal death metal while retaining enough rhythmic character to give the songs their own shape. The material is aggressive, riff centered and firmly aimed at listeners who want death metal with substantial groove alongside its faster sections. "Deeds Of Horror" presents Gorge as a band with a focused musical direction and a debut that has enough substance to establish their presence within the Italian extreme metal scene.
