Kyrios (Greek for Lord) is an American black metal band led by Hypatian on guitar, bass and keys, with Satan's Sword on drums and keys and GK Defenestrator on vocals. The band surfaced with the EP "Saturnal Chambers", a short run of cosmic black metal built on freezing tremolo lines and synth backing. A second EP was written and tracked, then went missing for years, and Caligari Records now issues the recovered material on cassette. The title came from the late Vornag, and the band dedicates the release to him.

"Blood Constellation" runs about ten minutes, mixed by Hypatian, mastered by Satan's Sword, with art and logo by Veronica Pirog. The lyrics, written by Hypatian and Pirog, stay in astral ground, sacrifice under dying stars and gods who hand down ruin. The guitars hold a high tremolo line through most of the running time, and the drumming keeps a fast pulse with small tempo shifts that stop the attack from flattening out. GK Defenestrator sits behind the strings, more shriek than command, and the keys widen the sound while keeping the temperature low. The production leaves hiss and rough edges where they fell, close to the format it was pressed on. What lands is cold and fast, played by hands that have done this before. Ten minutes, though, is a little too short, not anyone can draw a safe conclusion from, and where Kyrios goes after this stays an open question.
