Sepulcrum is a Chilean death metal band formed around Nicolás Miranda on vocals and guitar, Oscar Gibert on lead guitar, Nicolás Espinoza on bass, and Sebastián Zúñiga on drums. The band comes from the South American underground and has released the full length "Lamentation Of Immolated Souls", followed by the 2025 split "Evoking The Abominations". With "Lacerator", the quartet continues its old school death metal approach through technical guitar work, violent riff changes and a dark atmosphere, drawing from the late '80s and early '90s sound while keeping the songwriting arranged for a modern recording.

"Lacerator" has ten tracks with a strong emphasis on riff construction and frequent tempo changes. The production by B. Barrantes gives the guitars a prominent place in the mix, with the drums remaining forceful and the bass adding depth underneath. "Phrenetic Psycophony" moves through rapid riff changes with enough separation to follow the guitar details, while "Into The Infected Bowels" uses slower sections to break the pace before returning to faster death metal patterns.

"Entropic Decomposition" is one of the longer tracks and gives the arrangements more time to develop, while "Multideformation" closes the album with another extended sequence of shifting riffs and rhythmic changesThe sequencing holds together as a complete album, with short tracks such as "As I Die" and "Let Me Desecrate You" interrupting the longer compositions and keeping the overall pacing varied.
