Social Scream is a Greek heavy metal band formed in 2008, with five previous albums to its name, including “Epiclesis” (2014), “Initiation To The Myths” (2018), “Organic Mindset” (2020), “From Ashes To Hope” (2021), and “Δεινόν Εστί” (2022). “Setup To Transformation” continues the band’s recorded output with ten tracks combining heavy metal riffs, intricate rhythmic patterns, and psychological themes.
The album explores dark mental territory through compositions that alternate between forceful guitar work and more atmospheric transitions. “Catalesis” and “Catharsis” establish the musical approach, while “Ensynesthesis” develops the rhythmic side through shifting patterns. “Parallel Vision” and “Now Command” introduce changes in pace, with “Soul Catcher” and “The Unified Field” extending the material through longer arrangements.
The production and mixing by Dimitris Sakkas at Dimon's Creative Studio in Athens give the guitars and rhythm section a defined presence, while additional vocals were recorded at Think Recording Studio in Sparta. All music and lyrics were written by Vlasis Diamantakos, placing the lyrical direction under a single creative hand. The ten tracks run for around fifty minutes, making this a substantial release whose intricate arrangements and psychological subject matter demand attention to detail.
