Valr and Galgenvot formed Wrang in 2013 and kicked things into high gear around 2015, carving out a serious spot in the Netherlands black metal underground. Early on, they took cues from Finnish and Norwegian staples like Horna and Taake, bashing out freezing, traditional riffs. Over time, their sound shifted gears. By the time their second full-length, "De Vaendrig", dropped in 2022, they brought a swaggering rock drive into the black metal freezing cold. They avoid getting boxed into the typical black and roll tag, opting to inject serious melodic fury into the traditional blast-beat formula.
Now, "Verwording" arrives through Dominance Of Darkness Records, bringing a storm of triumphant riffing.
