Morbid Death triggered a massive shift in the Azorean heavy metal underground, standing right on the fault line between the old days and the new era. The crew started banging heads on São Miguel in September 1990. Ricardo Santos, Dinis Costa, Miguel Veríssimo and Pedro Rodrigues built a machine that smashed right through the geographic limits of their islands. Thirty-plus years down the line, surviving line-up rotations and endless touring, their drive rules supreme. They adapt and keep the music loud. "Veil Of Ashes" was hammered out at StepKeys Studio in Ponta Delgada, with the mix and master finished on the same bloody console.

The thrash metal foundation collides violently with pure death metal aggression throughout the runtime. João Raposo and Helder Pinheiro deliver massive riffs that tear the skull. Their guitar work drives a merciless assault, tearing flesh with fast picking and crushing rhythms. Pedro Sousa batters the drum kit without mercy, driving the tempos into the red zone. The rhythm section functions as a brutal engine, pumping out vicious thrashing speed and massive mid-tempo stomps. Tracks like "Evil Remains" and "Fallen Future" deliver a brutal sonic beating.

Ricardo Santos attacks the microphone with throat-shredding growls and vicious growls. His vocal delivery demands your attention, spitting out lyrics on "World Of Lies" and "Souls Of Trauma" with absolute rage. He plays the bass simultaneously, locking in with the drums to create a massive wall of sound. The aggression stays at maximum volume. Every scream tears through the speakers, dominating the mix. Pure death metal brutality dominates the vocals alongside rapid-fire syllable spitting.

StepKeys Studio gave this release a massive, crushing sound. The production lets the instruments rip through the speakers with absolute power. The guitars sound metallic and vicious, slicing straight into the eardrums. The drums echo like artillery fire, booming out of the underground and destroying everything around. The bass lines rumble constantly underneath, thick and heavily distorted. You hear every single note distinctly, and the resulting sonic attack wrecks your neck.

Morbid Death delivered a scorcher with "Veil Of Ashes". The album rips through its tracks, delivering furious riffs, insane drumming, and lethal vocals. Thirty years into their existence, these guys play with untamed rage. They conquer the underground and unleash total devastation on the listener. "Death Row" closes the tracklist out by leaving nothing standing in its wake. This release destroys everything in its path.
