Coming straight out of the Indonesian underground, Vile Desolation formed from a crew of extreme metal veterans. The East Java scene spawns tons of massive extreme bands, so it makes total sense that these maniacs teamed up to deal maximum damage. Yudha handles the mic, Hendika commands the guitars and bass, and Rama smashes the drums. They took all their past gigging experience and poured it into "Annihilating The Consciousness", a debut album driven by pure sonic violence. The trio dragged their tracks into Endless Gruesome Studio for mixing and mastering, slapping some grim Timbul Cahyono artwork on the cover before dropping it through Comatose Music.

"Annihilating The Consciousness" smashes skulls right out of the gate. Vile Desolation churn out vicious death metal, packing every riff with blistering speed and relentless drumming. The production sounds extremely heavy, capturing every single blast beat and guttural roar.

"Veiled In Obscurity" rips through the speakers, throwing frantic percussion and discordant guitar squeals straight into the listener's face. The vocal delivery stays deep in the subterranean range, projecting total terror and insanity into the mix. This music focuses entirely on sonic destruction and mental decay.

The middle section of the album features a triptych of madness with "Dementia’s Embrace", "Eyes Of Madness", and "Eternal Lunacy". These songs deliver relentless speed, intricate guitar patterns, and monstrous bass lines tearing through the background. Yudha’s vocals project a total descent into terror, matching the frightening lyrical themes of a mind crumbling into dust. Hendika shreds the fretboard, delivering sick technical riffs alongside monstrous grooves. Rama beats the drum kit into splinters. The aggression is constant.

"Whispers Through The Shadowed Gates" and "Labyrinth Of Torment" keep the blast beats flying at maximum velocity. The Indonesian scene always produces killer extreme acts, and Vile Desolation fits right in with their peers. They simply play fast, heavy, and loud. The mix from Endless Gruesome Studio keeps the low end thick, making the bass and kick drums rattle your ribs. You get an album full of ferocious blast beats, deep gutturals, and shredding guitars. The musicianship stays top tier across the entire tracklist.

"Sanctified In Ashes" closes the album with total devastation. Vile Desolation deliver a very strong debut full-length for Comatose Music. "Annihilating The Consciousness" provides pure sickness for death metal maniacs. The riffs are incredibly fast, the drums are insanely brutal, and the vocals sound entirely demonic. Fans of Suffocation and Beheaded will definitely want to blast this through their stereos loud enough to piss off the neighbors.
