Void Of Light operate out of Glasgow, Scotland, functioning as a six-headed post-metal beast. They dropped a self-titled EP in 2022 and followed it up with "Enshroud" in 2023, tearing up the UK for a short run of shows and dominating local venues. They deliver an imposing wall of sound, deafening audiences with immense volume and precise execution. Now, they drop their debut full-length, "Asymmetries", unleashed via Ripcord Records.

"Asymmetries" delivers five massive compositions. Having three guitarists on board means the riffs stack up into towering formations. Nick Collins, Simon Mather, and Marc Carey generate layers of distorted fury, weaving melodic leads through the sheer volume. Stephen Wilkinson drives the percussion with absolute force, locking in with Dan Irving on bass to build an unbreakable rhythm section. The production captures the raw sound of their live shows, avoiding any sterile studio tricks. You get absolute sonic destruction tailored for maximum volume.

The extensive runtimes work mostly to their advantage, allowing the melodic leads to completely unfold.

"Asymmetries" acts as a massive debut. Void Of Light harness their triple-guitar assault to create devastating post-metal.
