Fournier is a death metal trio hailing from New Zealand who forged their first weapons between 2023 and 2025. Emerging from Wellington and Levin, the underground alliance consists of Joe Wright, Daz Murray, and Jeff Lepper, alongside Quintin Ellery providing sound design. Rejecting the current wave of overproduced trends, these Kiwis entered the arena to forge a dark, oppressive style of extreme music, resulting in a self-titled debut EP released under the banner of Caligari Records.
The self-titled debut EP, offers a strong, fundamental approach to death metal across four distinct chapters. The material takes inspiration from old titans like Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Timeghoul, alongside current extreme forces such as Hyperdontia, Phrenelith, and Engulfed.
