Filth is a Swedish death metal power trio that appeared with their debut album "Time To Rot" in 2025, establishing a sound rooted in the early years of the genre. With "Death Exhibition", the band returns to the same territory with a broader musical approach, drawing from the grim heaviness associated with early Grave, Immolation, Demilich, Autopsy, Incantation and Abhorrence. Their music remains firmly tied to old school death metal, with a few strange and atmospheric touches that prevent the result from becoming a simple recreation of other bands' records.

"Death Exhibition" was released through Me Saco Un Ojo Records (CD/LP for Europe), and Rotted Life Records (CD/MC for USA), with an analogue production that gives the guitars, bass and drums a warm, grimy presence. The songs move through crushing death metal riffs, slower doom influenced sections and more atmospheric moments, while the vocals add another layer of decay to the overall sound.

The material has a strong sense of menace, especially in the slower parts, where the bass and guitars create a bleak, oppressive atmosphere. The songwriting remains focused on riff driven death metal, with enough variation to prevent the record from becoming monotonous. Filth has expanded the scope of their sound since "Time To Rot", adding more atmosphere and strange details while retaining the raw foundation that defined their debut. "Death Exhibition" is a filthy, heavy and old school death metal release with enough personality to stand on its own.
